IRA Income

Most of the attention on IRAs goes to saving and investing, but the real goal is the income the account can provide later. Enter your balance, contributions, and return assumptions to estimate what your IRA might pay you each year in retirement.

About these numbers

Assumes contributions are added at the end of each year, the same returns are earned every year, and income is paid at the end of each retirement year: either in equal amounts that use up the account (less any amount you choose to leave), or as the chosen percentage of the balance at the start of that year. Taxes, fees, inflation, and required minimum distributions are not included. Actual returns and principal value will fluctuate, and investing involves risk.
